Laundry Question

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me. We live over a spring so we have hard water. Hard water is when sediment builds up and "contaminates" your water. My problem is my washing machine. I've noticed that my lighter color blouses are getting rusty looking stains and the darker colors get "waterspots.". Does anyone know how to eliminate this? We thought about getting a filter for the washing machine but they are expensive!

Thanks for any help!

  1. I wish I could help you, but I get rust stains on my clothes too and I have recently turned two...not one, but TWO, loads of laundry pink. I wish you luck!

  2. What about a product that gets rid of hard water stains? I use natural products and there is one called, Tub and Tile. I wonder if you put a tad of that in the laundry if it wouldn't work. I know how hard we work at ministering to our families throughout all the daily duties. Keep me posted on how the Lord leads you!

  3. Check out Norwex Magnet Ball - The Magnet Ball prevents calcium molecules from building up in dishwashers and washing machines, resulting in softer water. When using the Magnet Ball, use 50 -70% less soap. NOT for front-loading machines....can be seen on www.norwex.com
